If your workouts aren’t appearing in Health Connect or aren’t being shared with other fitness apps, try the following steps:
Step 1: Check Your Connection in Health Connect
- Open the Hevy app and go to your Profile screen.
- Tap the gear icon (Settings) in the top-right corner.
- Select Integrations > Manage, which will open Health Connect.
- Tap App permissions and make sure permissions are enabled for Hevy.
- If permissions are already enabled, try disabling and then re-enabling them.
- Also check that permissions are enabled for any other apps you want to share your Hevy data with (e.g., Google Fit, Samsung Health).
- If there’s been a problem syncing data, try toggling permissions off and on again for these apps too.
Step 2: Clear the Cache
- Go to Settings > Apps > Health Connect/Hevy > Storage > Clear Cache.
- Repeat for any other apps connected to Health Connect that should receive your data.
**Do not select “Clear data,” as this can delete data within the app.
Step 3: Force Stop and Restart
- Force stop both Health Connect and Hevy.
- Restart your device.
Step 4: Reinstall Hevy
- Uninstall the Hevy app.
- Restart your device.
- Reinstall Hevy and enable it again in Health Connect.
Priority: When multiple apps write the same type of data
If more than one app writes the same type of data, Health Connect merges the data. When there’s a conflict, the app priority you set determines which app’s data is used.
Example: If sleep-tracking apps C and D both write sleep duration data for the same night, Health Connect will choose the sleep duration reported by the app with the higher priority.
To adjust app priority:
- Open Health Connect and go to Manage data
- Data sources and priority.
- Select the data category you want to change, then drag the apps within the App sources list to reorder them. The app at the top has the highest priority and will be used first for that data category.
Important note: If Hevy data is being read by Health Connect but not sent to other apps, you will need to reach out to the other app’s support team.
