When you forget or want to change your password, you have two options for changing it. Which you use will depend on whether you are signed into the app or not.
How to recover a password or change a password when signed out
- Open the Hevy app
- Go to the login screen
- Tap ‘Forgot Password’ (under the login email and password section)
- Input your account email and tap ‘Send Password Recovery’
- Check your email (including the junk folder) and follow the instructions
How to change a password when signed in
- Go to the Profile tab at the bottom of the app
- Tap the gear icon to enter the Settings page
- Tap ‘Account’
- Tap ‘Update Password’
- Input your new password and tap ‘Update’
Adding a password to the account for the first time
Sometimes, users will sign up using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In and then decide they would like to switch to an email/username and password sign-in. This can be done by sending the email you would like linked to the account to hello@hevyapp.com. Once the email has been added, you can use the 'Forgot Password' option with the email address associated with the account to set a new password.
Important note: If you currently still use Facebook Sign-In, please follow the steps to add a password to the account for the first time, as we no longer support Facebook Sign-In, and if you sign out, you will not be able to log back into the account until this is changed.
