You may notice that the workout volume shown in Strava is different from the volume displayed in Hevy after syncing your workout.
This difference is expected and is caused by how bodyweight exercises are calculated on each platform.
How Hevy Calculates Volume
For bodyweight exercises, Hevy can include your bodyweight when calculating the total workout volume.
For example, exercises such as:
- Pull-ups
- Dips
- Other exercises that take into account 100% of bodyweight
may contribute to your total volume based on your bodyweight, reps, and any additional weight used.
How Strava Calculates Volume
Strava calculates volume differently and does not take your bodyweight into account in the same way Hevy does for bodyweight exercises.
As a result, workouts containing bodyweight exercises may show a lower or different total volume in Strava compared with Hevy.
Is There an Issue With My Workout Data?
No. A difference in volume between Hevy and Strava does not necessarily mean that your workout synced incorrectly.
Your exercises, sets, reps, and other workout information can still sync correctly. The difference in total volume is due to how each platform calculates volume, particularly for bodyweight exercises.
If your workout contains several bodyweight exercises, the difference between the volume shown in Hevy and Strava may be more noticeable.
