Deleting your account is simple to do in the Hevy app. We ask that users delete their accounts from the app as opposed to requesting our support team to delete the account, as we want users to be in charge of their own data. The deletion process through the app will have the same results as if we do it on the back end.
Steps to delete an account
1. Go to the Profile page at the bottom of the app
2. Tap the gear icon in the top right corner to access the Settings page
3. Tap ‘Account’
4. Tap ‘Delete Account’
5. Input your username and then tap ‘Delete’ to confirm the deletion
Important note: Once this is done, your account will be permanently deleted and there will be no way to recover the data from the account.
Deleting an account attached to Hevy Coach
If your Hevy account is linked to a Hevy Coach account, you will need to first delete your account through Hevy Coach. If you are being coached, you will need to remove access from your Coach before you can delete your account.
Deleting a Hevy Coach account
1. Log in to the Hevy Coach account (if not signed in already) using your Hevy account details
2. Tap the ‘Profile’ page at the bottom of the app
3. Tap ‘Delete Account’
4. Type in your username and then tap ‘Delete'
Removing access to a Hevy Coach account
- Tap on ‘Coach’ at the bottom of the app
- Tap the name of your coach
- Tap ‘Remove Coach’s Access’
Once these steps are done, you can follow the steps above to delete your Hevy account.
When to contact support for help with account deletion
If you are logged out of your account and cannot get back into it, but want the account deleted, please reach out to support at hello@hevyapp.com and the team will ask some security questions and then can delete the account for you.
