What is an assisted bodyweight exercise?
An assisted bodyweight exercise is a movement where you primarily use your own bodyweight for resistance, but add some form of help (assistance) to make the exercise easier, safer, or more manageable.
The assistance reduces the amount of bodyweight you need to lift, push, or pull, allowing you to build strength and skill gradually.
Examples:
Assisted Pull-Ups
Assisted Dips
How is it calculated? (With or without bodyweight)
You can include your bodyweight in the calculation by adding it to your measurements (Profile > Measures > +) or by updating bodyweight while logging the assisted exercise (tap the three dots in the top right corner of the exercise > Update bodyweight). If you do not add a bodyweight, then a volume calculation will not be calculated.
Bodyweight weight - Assisted weight x Number of Reps
What personal records (PR’s) are available on assisted exercises?
Currently, PRs for assisted bodyweight exercises are limited to best total reps and most reps. Best set volume, heaviest weight, best 1RM, and best session volume are not available.
Best Total Reps: Most reps completed in a single workout.
Most Reps (Set): The set in which you did the most reps.
