Hevy’s live PR notification feature informs you of new best performances during training, so you don’t need to wait until the end of your workout to see if you’ve broken any records.
What is a Live Personal Record Notification?
As its name suggests, the live personal record notification (or live PR) instantly lets you know when you’ve achieved a new best 1RM, heaviest weight lifted for multiple reps, set volume, most reps, duration, etc.
Enable it by navigating to the workout settings:
Profile tab > gear icon (top right) > Workouts (under Preferences) > Live Personal Record Notification > enable via the toggle button
How it Works
Our live PR feature is designed to be intuitive, so you don’t need to do anything beyond training hard and logging your sets as you do them.
When you check off a set and achieve a Personal Record, a banner will appear letting you know what PR you have achieved. Once the workout is saved, that PR will be saved to the exercise and you will be able to see it when you go over the exercise overview. This PR will also be able to be viewed when you look through the workout it was achieved in after the fact.
Important Note: There are lots of different types of Personal Records. If you achieve a PR and you are unsure if it makes sense, check to see what kind of PR was achieved when you are done with your workout.
Ex. You are doing an assisted pull-up and you used more weight assist, but you got a PR. This seems wrong, because you technically lifted less weight, but if you look at the workout after, you would see a PR for most reps achieved in a set.
