There are two kinds of notes: routine notes and workout notes.
Routine Notes
Notes that are added to exercises in a routine will appear with the exercise every time the routine is logged as a workout. Routine notes will not be visible on the logged workout once it is completed. Meaning, other users will not see your routine notes.
Routine notes are great for adding information that will be useful every time you log a routine (eg. “Aim for 8-10 reps before increasing weight)
To edit or change a routine note, the routine itself must be edited. To edit your routine, there are two methods.
- You can click on the routine, click on the three dots in the top right corner, then click on Edit Routine
- If you open the routine, under the routine data, beside where it says Exercises, there is an option to Edit Routine
Once you are in the Edit Routine screen, you can edit the notes as needed.
Workout Notes
Notes that are added to an exercise during a workout. This note will be visible to other users once the workout is logged. The next time you do a workout with the exercise a note was added to, this note will be visible, but will be greyed out, meaning you cannot edit it, however, you can write a new workout note over it. Once the workout is saved, the greyed-out note will be deleted and not shared with the workout.
Workout notes are useful for one-offs to indicate something specific about an exercise (ie., first set was easier than expected)
