Hevy has multiple widgets you can add to your home screen to view data at a glance or to start a new workout with ease. Read more below to learn what sort of widgets are available and how to use them/set them up.
Important Note: Widgets will only display information if your Hevy app is signed in. If your widget is not displaying any information, check to make sure you are signed in to the Hevy app. If you are signed in and the information still isn't showing, reach out to us at hello@hevyapp.com for assistance.
Aggregate Data/Chart
This widget goes by Aggregate data on iOS and Chart on Android. It can display total volume, reps, duration, sets, or number of workouts completed in either the past 7 days or 3 months. There is both a small and a medium sized widget for iOS, and a 2x2 only available for Android.
How to set up on iOS
When you first add this widget to your home screen, it will display the total volume over the past 7 days automatically. If you want to edit this, follow the instructions below.
- Hold down on the widget until the options menu appears
- Tap ‘Edit Widget’
- Tap ‘Data Type’ and select what data you want displayed
- Tap ‘Data Range’ to select whether you want 7 days or 3 months of data displayed
How to set up on Android
When you select the Chart widget, it will bring you to a page called ‘Set up widget”. You can tap ‘Data Type’ to select the type of data you want displayed, and then tap ‘Data Range’ to select whether you want 7 days or 3 months of data displayed. Tap ‘Done’ to save the widget with these settings.
Calendar
The calendar widget displays the Calendar in Hevy that displays your workouts and rest days. There is both a small and a large version of this widget available for iOS and a 2x2 only available for Android. No setup is required for this widget.
Calendar and Data/Chart and Stats
This widget is called Calendar and Data on iOS and Chart and Stats on Android. This widget displays the calendar from Hevy with your workouts and rest days displayed on the left side, and monthly stats on the right side. The stats include total workouts, total duration of workouts, and total volume for the month displayed. No setup is required for this widget.
Last Week Workouts/Last Workouts
This widget is called Last Week Workouts on iOS and Last Workouts on Android. This widget displays the workouts and rest days for the past 7 days. No setup is required for this widget.
Routine of the Day
This widget can be used to schedule routines for specific days of the week. The routine you have set to be done that day will be displayed here, and if you tap it, you will be brought to that Routine in Hevy so you can quickly start your workout from that routine.
How to set up on iOS
Once you have added this widget to your home screen, you will need to set it up before it can be used.
- Hold down on the widget until the options menu appears
- Tap ‘Edit Widget’
- Tap ‘Choose’ beside each day of the week and select the routine you would like to be assigned to this day
How to set up on Android
When you select the Routine of the Day widget, it will bring you to the setup widget page automatically. Tap each day of the week and select the routine you would like to be assigned to that day. Tap ‘Done’ to save the widget with these settings.
Quick Access
The quick access widget will allow you to quickly access one of three features depending on which you select. You can either begin an empty workout, start a specific routine, or log a measurement in the app by tapping on this widget. It needs to be set up with what you want quick access to.
How to set up on iOS
- Hold down on the widget until the options menu appears
- Tap ‘Edit Widget’
- Tap on ‘Type’
- Select the action you would like to quickly access
How to set up on Android
When you select the Quick Access widget, it will bring you to the setup widget page automatically. Tap ‘Data Type’ and select the action you would like to quickly access.
Weekly Data/Weekly Stats
This widget is called Weekly Data on iOS and Weekly Stats on Android. This widget can be configured to show you your total volume, duration, workouts, sets or reps for the week and will also compare it to the previous week. This app can only display one type of data, so it needs to be set up to display the type of data you want.
How to set up on iOS
- Hold down on the widget until the options menu appears
- Tap ‘Edit Widget
- Tap ‘Data Type’
- Select the type of data you want displayed
How to set up on Android
When you select the Quick Access widget, it will bring you to the setup widget page. Tap ‘Data Type’ and select the type of data you want displayed.
Routines/Last Routines
This widget is called Routines on iOS and Last Routines on Android. This app can be used to display either a specific folder of routines or the latest routines you have used for a workout. This widget needs to be set up to display the information you want.
How to set up on iOS
- Hold down on the widget until the options menu appears
- Tap ‘Edit Widget
- Tap ‘Type’
- Select whether you want to see a folder or the latest routines
How to set up on Android
When you select the Last Routines widget, it will automatically take you to the setup widget page. Tap ‘Data Type’ and select whether you want to see a folder or the latest routines.
Streak
This widget will display your current streak on Hevy so you can remain motivated even when your app isn’t open. No set up is needed for this widget.
Rest
This widget will display how many rest days have passed since your last workout so you can stay on top of being consistent with your workouts, and to make sure you are getting proper rest. No set up is needed for this widget.
