What is a Circuit?
A circuit is a sequence of exercises performed one after another with little to no rest between them, followed by a rest period after completing one full round (the “circuit”).
What is Interval Training?
Interval training alternates between short bursts of high-intensity activity and periods of low-intensity recovery or rest.
What is a Superset?
A superset is a strength training method where two or more exercises are performed consecutively with minimal or no rest between them.
Using the Hevy App
The Hevy app includes a specific superset feature, which can also be used to create circuits or interval-style workouts.
To build a circuit in Hevy:
- Add a superset and include all the exercises you want in your circuit.
- Set a rest timer after the final exercise to mark the end of one full circuit.
- Optionally, enable Smart Superset Scrolling, which automatically moves you to the next exercise once you complete one.
This setup allows you to effectively run a circuit or interval workout using the existing superset feature.
