There are two features for comparing in the app. There is a profile comparison and then exercise comparison. These features help you to compare your progress with your friends and followers on Hevy.
How to use the profile comparison feature?
To find the comparison feature, navigate to the profile of the user you would like to compare your progress to and tap the Compare option below the graph on their Profile page.
Once you have opened the compare feature on someone’s profile, you can use the drop down at the top of the page to select whether you would like to compare the last 30 days, 3 months, year or all time.
Once you have made your selection from the drop down, you will be able to see a graph that compares your muscle split, showing your split in blue and the other user’s split in grey. Below this, you will be shown how many workouts you have done compared to the other user in this time period, the total duration of those workouts for you compared to the other user and the total volume lifted in those workouts compared to the other user.
Below this info, you will be able to see a list of exercises in common. You can tap any of these to see some comparison stats. You will be able to compare your PRs for these exercises during the time given. For exercises that are included in the Strength level and Leaderboard features, it will also tell you who is stronger in the given exercise.
How to use the exercise compare feature?
The exercise compare feature only works for exercises included in the Leaderboard and Strength Level features. These exercises include:
- Behind the Back Bicep Wrist Curl (Barbell)
- Bench Press (Barbell)
- Bicep Curl (Barbell)
- Deadlift (Barbell)
- Hip Thrust (Barbell)
- Leg Press (Machine)
- Preacher Curl (Barbell)
- Reverse Curl (Barbell)
- Romanian Deadlift (Barbell)
- Seated Wrist Extension (Barbell)
- Skullcrusher (Barbell)
- Spider Curl (Barbell)
- Squat (Barbell)
To find this feature, you will need to open a workout completed by another hevy user. You can open it from their profile, the home screen or the discovery feed. If any of the above exercises are in their workout and you have it in common, it will have a ‘Compare’ option at the bottom.
Tap this Compare option and you will be able to see who is stronger in the given exercise and a comparison of your PRs for the exercise. It will also list at the bottom where both you and the other user fall on the leaderboard for this exercise.
