Hevy’s warm-up calculator allows you to adjust some settings and more quickly add percentage-based warm-up sets to exercises while creating routines (reusable workout templates) or logging live workouts.
How to Set Up Warm Up Set Calculator
Step 1: Activate It
Profile tab > Settings gear icon (top right) > Workouts (under Preferences) > Warm-up Calculator > Turn it on via the toggle
Step 2: Select the Warm Up Method
Tap Warmup Method to program your preferred warm-up sets. You can use the default formula, or you can tap on each set to change the percentage and reps. You can use the two buttons at the bottom labelled ‘Remove Set’ and ‘Add Set’ to remove and add sets to the warmup method.
Step 3: Adjust Plate Rounding and/or Dumbbell Rounding (optional)
Select your preferred weight increments for warm-up calculations in exercises that use plates, such as barbell exercises.
Select your preferred weight rounding when using dumbbells. For instance, if the dumbbells you use are in 2.5-kilogram increments, select that option.
Step 5: Add Warm-up Sets to Exercises
Whether creating a routine, logging a live session, or adding exercises to an empty workout, you can tap the three dots on the top right of a movement and select Add Warm Up Sets. Write the target weight at the top and tap the blue Insert Warmup Sets button.
The warm-up sets will appear at the top. You can always delete them or add additional warm-up sets by marking subsequent sets as warm-ups (tap the number next to the set and select Warm Up Set).
