In Hevy, the terms “workout” and “routine” refer to two different things.
Routine: A routine is a plan for a workout. A routine will be saved in the routine section of the app for you to complete at any time.
Workout: A workout is when you are actively logging what you are doing at the gym.
How to Create a Routine
- Workout tab: Tap “New Routine”
- Create a routine by adding exercises, sets, and any other details.
How to Log a Workout
There are a few ways to start a workout:
Option 1: Start a routine, and it becomes a workout
- Tap the Workout tab
- On the routine you wish to do, tap “Start routine”
- It will open to a workout that you can log
Option 2: Start an empty workout and log as you complete exercises
- Tap the “Workout tab” at the bottom of the screen
- + Start Empty Workout
- An empty workout will begin, and you can add exercises and sets as needed.
Option 3: Start a workout from the “Quick Access” Hevy widget.
Quick Access: Add the widget > On the “Quick access” widget, tap + to start a workout
