Find and Connect Contacts on Hevy

Hevy allows you to connect your phone contacts to find people you know who are also using the app.

To appear as a contact in Hevy, the other person must also have connected their contacts and verified their phone number.

How to connect your contacts

To allow Hevy to access your contacts:

1. Open the Home tab.
2. Tap the Search icon in the top right corner.
3. Select Contacts.
4. Tap Connect Contacts.
5. Tap Open Settings.
6. Choose the contacts you would like Hevy to access, or allow access to All Contacts.
7. Return to Hevy and go back to the Contacts screen.
8. Tap Verify.
9. Enter your phone number and tap Continue.
10. Enter the verification code sent to your phone by text message.

Once your contacts are connected and your phone number is verified, you will be able to see eligible contacts who are also using Hevy.

Important: A contact will only appear if they have also connected their contacts and verified their phone number.

How to remove contact access

You can remove Hevy's access to your contacts at any time through your phone settings:

1. Open your phone's Settings.
2. Find and select Hevy.
3. Tap Contacts.
4. Select None to remove access.

Removing contact access does not delete contacts from your phone.

How to change which contacts Hevy can access

If you have chosen to give Hevy access to selected contacts, you can update that selection:

1. Open your phone's Settings.
2. Find and select Hevy.
3. Tap Contacts.
4. Tap Edit Selected Contacts.
5. Add or remove the contacts you would like Hevy to access.
6. Save your changes.

How to change or remove your phone number

Once your phone number has been verified, you can manage it from the Contacts section in Hevy:

1. Open the Home tab.
2. Tap the Search icon in the top right corner.
3. Select Contacts.
4. Tap Settings.
5. Use the available options to change or delete your phone number.

If you change your phone number, you may be asked to verify the new number before it can be used with the Contacts feature.
