Log Past Workouts Manually and Import CSV
You can manually add past workouts to your profile in Hevy. Here’s how:
- Start a workout (+ start empty workout or start a routine)
- Log the workout as usual (Add exercises, sets, weight, etc.)
- Tap “Finish” workout, which will take you to the “Save workout” screen
- Adjust the Date, time and duration and tap “Save”
The workout will appear in your profile history according to the date you set, but on the Home screen, it will show in the order it was logged.
We also have an import workout data feature that allows importing data in a specific format. At this time, we only allow importing from the Strong app.
How to import your CSV:
1. Go to the Profile tab
2. Tap on the Settings
3. Select “Export & Import Data”
4. Tap “Import data”
5. Follow the instructions “Import Strong workouts”:
- Open Strong App
- Go to settings > Export Strong Data (The CSV must be exported from Strong in English to be accepted in the Hevy app.)
- Save CSV to device
- Open Hevy app
- Tap on the “Import Strong CSV” button and select the exported CSV file
- Wait while the data is being imported to your Hevy account.
Important notes:
- You can only do one data import. If you have performed a data import and wish to remove it, you can revert and remove the imported data.
- If you’d like to import workouts from another app by converting the CSV file to the Strong format, that’s perfectly fine. However, please note that if there are any issues with the file formatting, our team unfortunately doesn’t have the manpower to assist with reformatting or importing the CSV at this time.
- If there is an issue with your CSV exported directly from Strong, we can help with troubleshooting.
