Hevy has a pre-built library of 26 training programs and seven routine categories. The programs are based on experience, goals, and available equipment, whereas the routine categories cater to special interests like at-home training, dumbbell-only workouts, and travel circuit sessions. Browse through the list and save any of them to your profile.
How to Access the Routine/Program Library
Navigate to the Workout tab, tap the Explore button under Routines, and see the available programs and individual routines.
The default screen displays the top three programs, but you can use the filters at the top (Level, Goal, and Equipment) or click Show all 26 programs to browse the entire list.
Below the programs, there will be a section labelled Routines and below this you will find multiple categories to choose from, including:
- At home
- Travel
- Dumbbells only
- Band
- Cardio & HIIT
- Gym
- Bodyweight
You can tap any of these categories and it will bring up a list of premade routines available within the category.
How to Save and Use a Routine/Program
To save a Program, tap the program you are interested in and there will be a blue button you can tap that says ‘Save Program’. Tapping that option will save the routine to your library by creating a folder with each of the routines in the program saved within it.
To save a Routine:
- Once you have tapped on a category of routines you want to look at, the list of routines will appear
- Each routine will have a blue ‘Save Routine’ button under the routine name and description. Tap this to save the routine to your library.
To use any of these routines/programs:
- Tap the Workout tab at the bottom of the screen, and you will find the routine saved there.
- You can tap on the routine you would like to do as a workout and then tap ‘Start Routine’ to begin an active workout.
Editing a Routine from the Routine Library
You can change the training variables to any workouts, including replacing, rearranging, removing, or adding exercises, adding or removing sets, pairing activities into supersets, and changing the rest timers on movements.
This means you have complete freedom to tailor training plans and routines from the Hevy library to your liking.
Hevy Blog Routines
Hevy has a blog where our team shares lots of information and articles about different routines and their benefits. If you find a routine in one of these articles that you would like to use, you can also save these to your library.
The routines will not be available through the Explore tab. Within the blog post, there will be a link that says ‘click here’ highlighted in blue. If you click this link, it will bring you to the routine and you can save it to your library from there.
